Beverley's warm intimate vocals are complemented by Alan's breathy tenor sax and clarinet, to give a distinctive smooth sound. Catch them from 8.15pm.On Friday the Cork and Bottle presents a local fave with the Food Fighters for what should be a good gig, from 8pm until late. There's karaoke tomorrow too.Sherry's Tavern gets karaoke krazy with Sod 'em and Sing on Friday.The Blue Zoots will be letting their washboards hang out in public on Friday at Olive Branch in town.On Saturday a new band hits town as Farrago play at The Plough Inn, Bickington. The band are beginning to play more locally and offer world folks sounds, with guitar, sax, flute., fiddle and bouzouki, to name a few instruments.Jazz jamming continues on Tuesday at the Wrey Arms, Sticklepath, for fans of New Orleans and Dixie - all musicians and audience members very welcome, from 7.30-10pm.There is a top concert at the George Hotel in South molton on Saturday as Wildwood Flower Mountain Music Club celebrates its fifth anniversary with the brilliant Carrivick sisters from 8pm. The girls offer great vocal harmonies and play a range of instruments. Also featuring are a whole host of local bands and musicians, providing a range of American, blues, roots and bluegrass sounds. This is now a regular feature on the last Saturday of each month. You can try your hand at the mic with SSK on Sunday too at the Heavitree Arms.The Coach and Horses, Appledore, has its regular folk jam tonight (Wednesday) from 8pm. On Sunday the venue welcomes back Tony Finney and Lorraine for more acoustic Irish folksy bluesy music from 3-6pm.The Kingsley at Northam will have acoustic jamming on Tuesday from 8.30pm.The Average Blues Band will be hosting Open Mike at Cook Island, Mullacott Cross, tomorrow and on Saturday the boys are battling the winter blues (with blues) at the London Inn, Braunton.Also in Braunton, the White Lion hosts the excellent Jim Jones Band on Friday, featuring no less than Pete Bruntnell plus Dave Little and Will Greaves for what should be a very good night.
