THE talented Milli Taylor Band will be joining singer and songwriter Sam Dowden at the Jazz Lounge Bar in South Molton on Saturday for acoustic music offering a combination of original material and covers.The charming singing group Notariety will be offering a lively mix of music from around the world at the George Hotel in South Molton on Saturday, too. The gig begins at 8pm.The Cedars Big Band will be in concert on Sunday from 8pm at the Cedars Inn, Barnstaple.Westward Ho! musos MudMunkey will be joining The Small Print and Mrssippi at the Inn on the Square, Barnstaple, on Friday. The three-band gig is open to 16-year-olds and over, and should be a good one and "the Munkeys" - well received in the Torridge area - are spreading further afield, with original material influenced by rock and post punk. Tonight (Wednesday) the venue has open mic .There's karaoke at the Cork and Bottle tomorrow (Thursday) plus tunes on Friday and Saturday.,More karaoke on Friday with Sod 'em and Sing at Sherry's Tavern.Jazz Jam on Tuesday at Zena's Restaurant as jazzy types bring their instruments and voices for a good indoor music session. Singer, songwriter and guitarist Ron Trueman-Border is performing at The Thatch in Croyde on Friday from 8.30pm.In Woolacombe on Friday the Red Barn hosts the Average Blues Band for a lively gig plenty of blues you can dance to.In fact (more newspaper trickery) the Average Blues folks are at Cook Island tomorrow (Thursday) when they host Open Mike Night once more.Tumblin' Dice are loading the musical ante on Saturday when they play at the Pier Tavern in Ilfracombe from 9pm for a free gig with this established local band.The Marlboro Club features Norwegian "tourists" Where Angels Fall on Saturday, making their European tour. They are joined by Cornish "Goth gods" All Living Fear plus new Barnstaple band Dirty Gypsy. It all begins at 8pm.
