VICTORIANA, costumes, displays and activities await visitors to Ilfracombe Museum next week.The museum will be joining the Victorian Celebrations, beginning with a coffee morning on Monday from 10.30am - admission is free and after looking around enjoy a hot beverage and cake served the old fashioned way!There's entertainment from a bygone age on Tuesday with a Magic Lantern Slide Show at 11am. Puppet master David Leech will introduce the world of Victorian Marionette Troupes on Wednesday from 10.30-11.15am. Find out about the famous English troupes that toured the world from village greens to theatres.An impressive collection of genuine Victorian marionettes will be on display at the museum up until June 15, courtesy of the British Puppet and Model Theatre Guild.On Thursday of next week, the Ancient Art of Quilling will be presented by Liz Howard and Trish Fitzgerald between 10.30am-12.30pm. On Friday, June 13, join Monica Woodcock for a demonstration of traditional spinning skills, between 10.30am-1pm and have a go yourself.The attraction has a wonderful display of Victorian costumes, accessories, Royal memorabilia, a Victorian kitchen and much more. There are Victorian quizzes available for both children and adults. It is open seven days a week from 10am-5pm.
