Mortehoe Scarecrow Festival starts this Friday and runs until Sunday, from 10am to 5pm each day.

The theme is ‘A Tale of two Potters – Beatrix and Harry’ and features scarecrows including favourites such as Peter Rabbit and Mrs Tiggywinkle from Beatrix Potter and of course, Harry Potter from JK Rowling’s blockbuster books and films.

Trail sheets can be collected from Mortehoe Museum or North Morte Farm campsite for just £5 per family or £3 for an individual.

Follow the trial around the picturesque village of Mortehoe and match the scarecrows to the characters sheet. Get all the answers correct and you will be entered into a prize draw to win one of three goodie bags.

There will also be vote for your favourite scarecrow and other activities in Mortehoe for the whole family to enjoy.

Proceeds will go to local organisations including St Mary’s Church, Mortehoe Museum, the National Trust and more.
