STUDENTS of Kingsley School and members of Barnstaple Amateur Operatic Society are combining to present a modern version of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew.It will be performed in the beautiful Moreton Park Kingsley School gardens on June 29 and 30 and July 1.The play is set in a health club and spa and music from the past decade is interjected with the dialogue.In this version, Petruchio does not get it all quite his own way at the end.Students from the junior and senior school, parents and staff are also involved in the production, which will take place outside whatever the weather.The gardens will open at 6pm on each evening for a picnic - people should bring their own seating - and the show will start at 7pm.Tickets will cost £6 for adults and £4 for children aged 12 and under.
