Double dose of Dr Phil in Lynton and Torrington plus the Lyn Valley Festival from Friday, June 9 to Sunday, June 11

A medicinal dose of laughter to tackle the NHS crisis is just one of the highlights of the Lyn Valley Classic, Comedy and Music Fest this June.

Physician, writer and whistleblower Dr Phil Hammond brings Dr Phil’s Health Revolution to Lynton Town Hall on Friday, June 9 to kick off the festival.

Dr Phil recommends that his audiences laugh, love, shout and reclaim their NHS – he has had enough of top down deforms of the NHS and says it’s time for a bidet revolution. From the bottom up.

Passionate subjects broached with humour are his hallmark and if you miss him on Friday, Dr Phil is also at The Plough Arts Centre in Torrington on Saturday. See below for booking details.

The Lyn Valley Festival runs until Sunday, Juen 11, when more than 150 classic vehicles from tractors to cars and motorcycles will enter the villages.

The entertainment continues on the Saturday with tribute band Hats Off to Led Zeppelin at the Town Hall. For tickets call 01598 753382.

Also on Saturday from 9pm join Chloe Bix at The Crown Inn plus three reelin’ fiddle fronted jigs and reels and sing-a-long.

The Exmoor Do Dahs will be playing at the Rising Sun, Lynmouth on the Sunday lunchtime.

Organisers would like to thank all the sponsors for their continued festival support.

Event marshals are welcome and there is still time to enter a classic vehicle. Email hanna@lynfs.co.uk or call 01271 321444.
