Don’t miss annual four day helping of free live music and plenty of real ales from May 3-6.

REAL ale, real music and a real good time will be on offer as the Landmark Beer and Music Festival returns to Ilfracombe this weekend.

The free festival will see 14 local and visiting performers take to the stage from Friday through to Monday and there will also be plenty of family fun with a bouncy castle, stalls, barbecue and of course barrels and barrels of real ales and ciders.

Television actor Gary Mavers will officially launch the festivities on Friday at 2.30pm by pulling the very first pint of the event.

The Peak Practice regular is in North Devon appearing in classic whodunit Go Back For Murder at the Queen’s theatre in Barnstaple, which began on Monday and runs until Saturday.

Plus, to mark the 10th anniversary of the North Devon Biosphere, a B10 beer will be on sale throughout the event, brewed by Country Life Brewery at the Big Sheep.

On the music front, Friday night features local band Odds ‘n’ 8 Balls at 9pm. Then on the other three days there is live music from 2pm onwards each day, with Saturday headlined by festival favourites Will and The Bandits, Sunday by The Richard O’ Brien Project and Monday by Zamba.
