Queen’s Theatre, Barnstaple, Friday, September 9
Two Barnstaple choirs will be joining the ‘Rat Pack of opera’ at the Queen’s Theatre on Friday, September 9.
Tenors Unlimited are coming to town as part of their nationwide show From Venice to Vegas, with local support from Bella Voce and Cantora.
The Tenors trio of Scott Ciscon, Paul Martin and Jem Sharples has toured the world for a decade, bringing their own blend of wit, charm and vocal arrangements to performances. The concert starts at 7.45pm.
The group has performed alongside such notables as Sting, Lionel Richie, Beyoncé, Hayley Westenra, Simply Red and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
They perform everything from popular classics such as La Donna E Mobile to Nessun Dorma, interspersed with crooner and pop favourites such as Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loudthrough to Freddie Mercury’s Barcelona and the classic Moon River.
Joining them are Belle Voce and Cantora, both formed by Barnstaple choirmaster Nigel Brooks, well known for his successful professional group The Nigel Brooks Singers.
He said: “We’re delighted to be joining Tenors Unlimited on stage. The choirs will be taking part in a wonderful and inspiring evening.”
