More than 20 North Devon authors will be gathering at a free event at The Pier House in Westward Ho! this Sunday (December 16).
Between 5-8pm go along and meet with local independent authors, chat to them about their work, discuss writing and simply discover what a wealth of talent there is on the local scene.
There should be something for everyone and all ages, with every genre represented from historical dramas to modern day detectives, horror tales to children's stories, fantasy worlds and outer space or indulgent chick-lit.
There will also be panels of authors answering questions and the event should prove fascinating not only for readers but aspiring or current authors too.
It has been organised by Literary Fusion, a group of local authors founded by Nickie Baglow - who writes as N Joy - to promote North Devon's creative talent and literacy in general.
The charity for the group and event is Action Medical Research and its Born Too Soon campaign to help premature babies.
It is a cause dear to Nickie, whose son Charlie was born premature in a delivery that almost claimed her life. Thankfully both survived and Charlie is now a healthy 15-year-old.
