Rockin' On Heaven's Door, the best rock 'n' roll show in the land returns to the Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe on Tuesday 15th July as part of the Summer Season.The production celebrates its 10th anniversary year in style and promises even more rockin' and rollin' in the aisles with a show packed with the music of some true rock 'n' roll legends. The talented bunch of performers will have you convinced you are watching the real things as Eddie Cochran, Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, The Big Bopper, Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee Lewis take to the stage. Where else would you get to see six of music's biggest stars in one show? Steve Halliday plays the leather-clad heart-throb Eddie Cochran, who will impress all with his guitar playing skills. Buddy Holly is lovingly paid tribute to by Dave Wickenden who wields his Fender Stratocaster in true Holly style. The spell binding Barry Steele brings the look and sound of Roy Orbison to life, Darren Green sets his piano on fire as Jerry Lee Lewis, and The Big Bopper receives a rousing tribute from JS Rawlings.Then the rhinestone clad Richard Atkins strides on stage for his reincarnation of Elvis Presley as he is remembered from the 1970s. In an utterly memorable performance, Richard shakes and gyrates, interacts with the audience and sets pulses rising with his fantastic tribute to the king. Aided by a band of highly talented musicians who must play in four different styles, this show is a rip roaring rock 'n' roll party for all.
