The international food market will line Bideford Quay and bring the accents and aromas from different corners of the globe on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (July 27, 28 and 29). Before the supermarkets, before the internet; the marketplace was where traders would introduce their world to the world. Traders, who had sailed the seas, discovering lands and cultures, would gather the culinary and material treasures they harboured and bring them to market to showcase to their native countrymen. The market was a place of cultural learning and discovery. Savoir Fayre continues this tradition, selectively inviting traders who exhibit the range of produce, cultural and historic knowledge, and authenticity. There will be cuisines from Italy to Vietnam, Morocco to Marseille. Open daily 9am-4pm.
