Volkswagens flock to Croyde for Big Sunday event this bank holiday weekend.

North Devon's only classic Volkswagen event, Big Sunday, is back this Sunday.

VW enthusiasts are invited to a one-day event at Croyde's lime kiln field to raise money for the Check yourself don't wreck yourself charity.

There will also be live music and games for children.

Local businessman Bob Burrows created the event to encourage people from far and wide to travel down to enjoy the festival.

Bob said: "I had long wanted to put on a Volkswagens in North Devon, so I thought why not combine the two and raise money for local charities."

VW enthusiasts, tourists and the general public are all encouraged to join the event to raise money for a local charity.

This year's charity is Check Yourself don't wreck yourself, which was set up by Barnstaple's Heather Walters, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year.

Heather is asking people to bring a bra to the event so they can build a giant bra which will cover two VW Beetles.

Afterwards the bras will be donated to charity.

The event will take place over the bank holiday weekend, where you can camp for three nights at Hidden Valley Camping and Caravan Park.

There will be a VW cruise through Braunton, Saunton and Croyde, live music, games for children and lots more.
