Have you ever fancied yourself as a budding Sandy or Danny from Grease? Maybe you'd like to see yourself as a Shark or a Jet in scenes from West Side Story? Or perhaps you've always fancied trying the moves of Bob Fosse from the hugely popular musical Chicago? Well, if you are aged between 13-18 years then this event is definitely for you! On Sunday, as part of the Devon Dance Festival, youngsters are being offered the opportunity to spend an action-packed day working with choreographer Helen Venn, drama practitioner, Rob Pudner and musical director, Alan Boxer on excerpts from well known pieces of musical theatre, including Grease, Chicago and West Side Story. This is a chance to explore all three creative disciplines in a relaxed informal atmosphere, culminating in a workshop-style performance for family and friends at the end of the day. So whether this is something new to you or you are slightly more experienced, be prepared to work hard, challenge yourself, learn something new and have lots of fun during this special one-off event led by a highly experienced and inspirational team.
