Beat those January blues with a good old laugh as stand-up comedian Stephen K Amos brings his new solo show, Find the Funny, to the Queen's Theatre in Barnstaple on Thursday, January 29.Stephen K Amos is renowned for being a supremely warm and wickedly funny comedian with an ability to charm the audience right into the palm of his hand. He skilfully becomes the comedy characters he is talking about and by doing this he draws the audience into his weird and wonderful world. His engaging manner is a somewhat contradictory mix of the restrained refinement that defines his accent and demeanour and the animated attention-seeking of the showman. This amalgam certainly works, and means Amos has star quality written all over him. This popular stand-up is a regular on the comedy circuit and has performed at every Edinburgh Fringe Festival since his debut show in 2001. He has appeared on comedy panel shows Mock the Week and Have I Got News for You, taken part in BBC's Live at the Apollo, and in November 2008 joined a host of other acts in ITV's We Are Most Amused gala to celebrate Prince Charles' 60th birthday.
