THE popular North Devon Arts Square Picture Show is back at Broomhill Art Hotel near Barnstaple this week.

It opens today (Wednesday) and runs in the Stables at the hotel near Muddiford right up until August 24 and is also an Art Trek venue.

The theme of the show is the 10th anniversary of North Devon being a UNESCO Biosphere reserve and the inspiration of the landscape on the artists who live and work here.

The work is varied and provides a showcase for many talented local artists working in different media and styles, from evocative landscape paintings to funky jewellery.

North Devon Arts is an informal network of artists, both amateur and professional. The Square Picture Show is its annual summer exhibition. For more information, visit www.northdevonarts.co.uk
