Plenty for all ages from Friday to Sunday at Ilfracombe’s Embassy Cinema

Surfing thriller Point Break will close the first-ever Ilfracombe Film Festival this weekend.

After a public vote, the film with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze will be shown at the Embassy Cinema on Sunday at 7pm.

The three-day festival opens on Friday and there is a cinematic mixed bag of treats on offer for all ages to enjoy.

This includes animation feature Ponyo on the Friday, with all children who attend receiving an Ilfracombe Aquarium goody bag.

There are short films focussing on local topics plus the Elvis Presley classic Blue Hawaii on Friday and a special singalong version of South Pacific on Saturday plus a Surfer's Night on Friday too, including The Endless Summer.
