A household name, national treasure, actor and explorer will be sharing tales of his life and work during An Evening with Brian Blessed in Barnstaple on Saturday.
The event is at The Stanbury Hall, Petroc, as the famous actor - whose innumerable television, film and stages appearances have made him instantly recognisable - talks frankly about his life and work.
"There's no need to write questions down in advance," said the larger than life figure before his visit to Barnstaple, "I want the audience to shout them out ad hoc, anything they like - including my sex life!"
The 74-year-old actor is also a keen explorer, visiting everywhere from the North Pole to the jungles of Venezuela and has just returned from trekking up a mountain in Mongolia, guided by a half tame wolf which slept in his tent and ate Mars Bars!
Tickets can be purchased on the night.
As former president and current vice president of the National Parks, Brian is a regular visitor to Devon and North Devon.
"The countryside could not get any better - Devon is the crème de la crème, rugged, diverse and beautiful," he said.
An Evening with Brian Blessed is on Saturday at 7.30pm. Call (01271) 324242 for tickets or visit www.boxofficedevon.co.uk.
