Matt Warren, from South Molton, and James Spencer, from Landkey, were competing in the inaugural event in Exeter run by Living Legends Promotions. The six competing acts qualified for the final through four heats, each showcasing the talents of four local unsigned performers. The other finalists were Jourdan Chard, Matt Liggins-Hall, Max Alexander, Ben Stone and Ollie Dixon. Each act performed a short set in front of an audience, who got to vote for their favourite act on the night, and a panel of judges. After long deliberations, Bicycle Repair Man were named the winners, earning themselves a gig at John Gandys later in the year. Upcoming gigs for the duo include this Saturday at South Molton Riverside Campsite and on Saturday, July 21, when they close the bottom stage of Pilton Green Man Festival.
