Following on from the success of the Young Dance Reviewer scheme initiated between Dance in Devon and North Devon Theatres last year, further opportunities have been created for young people to try their hand at writing dance reviews for forthcoming productions from leading international dance companies.Developing dance writers will be offered free access to review performances of Flhip Flhop, an exciting hip hop, breakdancing theatre show on Friday 20th February at the Landmark Theatre, Giselle by Moscow Ballet on Friday 27th February and The Essence of Ireland, Traditional Irish dance, music and singing on Friday 17th April both at the Queen's Theatre.The subsequent dance reviews will be posted on both Dance in Devon and the North Devon Theatres websites, and also sent to local press. Reviewers must be aged 16-25. Both Dance in Devon and the North Devon Theatres are keen to support young dancers across the county in a multitude of roles whilst making dance performances accessible to everyone. Sarah Anderson for North Devon Theatres said: "We are delighted to be able to take part in the Young Dance Reviewer Scheme again, and to continue supporting young people in all areas of the arts."
