The Westward Ho! and Bideford Arts Society holds its 90th exhibition at the Burton Art gallery and Museum.
A broad range of artwork from a host of local artists will feature at the 90th exhibition of the Westward Ho! and Bideford Arts Society.
Opening at the Burton Art Gallery and museum on Saturday, August 18, the showcase runs for a month and includes more than 300 works of art by both professional and amateur artists from across the region.
An eclectic mix includes painting, sculptures, textiles, print making, ceramics and wood carving.
Within the show will be a display of prize-winning work by five final year art students from Petroc School of Art.
The Student Awards annual cash prizes given by the society to help and encourage young artists.
The Ken Doughty Prize will be awarded to one artwork selected from the exhibition as excellent. This prize commemorates a past president, chairman and long term member.
There is still just time to hand in work for possible inclusion in the show. Entries can be presented at the Burton on Friday between 2.30-4.30pm and on Saturday from 10-11am. Forms are available at the gallery or from the Westward Ho! and Bideford Art Society web site at www.whobidarts.co.uk.
