Westward Ho! Follies annual pantomime will be buckling its swashes when The Four Musketeers take to the stage from Thursday, January 30.
THE well known battle cry of the Musketeers will be ringing over the rooftops of Westward Ho! for as the Westward Ho! Follies proudly present three performances of their winter panto The Four Musketeers.
The plot loosely (very loosely) follows the writings of Alexander Dumas and his famous swashbuckling heroes, but of course as with all good pantomimes there will be villains to hiss, a hero to cheer, and a dame to cherish.
… Plus a cake baking demonstration that will have the contestants of the Great British Bake Off gnashing their teeth in envy.
Swords will be unsheathed and muskets brandished on Thursday, January 30 at the Kingsley Hall, Atlantic Way, Westward Ho! At 7.30pm, then again on Saturday, February 1 at 2.30pm and Sunday night at 7.30pm.
Director Mark Clarke said the Follies had been presenting pantos and local productions for some 65 years and they hoped to keep up the high standards set.
“I have been blessed with an excellent cast and crew comprising seasoned veterans and enthusiastic newcomers who have been working their socks off in rehearsals to make sure that this production hits the heights,” he added.
Tickets are £6 for adults and £5 for concessions, available from Westward Ho! Post Office in Nelson Road, or call 01237 700869.
