This weekend’s Ilfracombe Art Trail is set to be the biggest yet.

On Saturday and Sunday people are invited to visit 33 venues around Ilfracombe and enjoy the work of more than 50 artists and makers.

There is a huge range of mediums to browse through or buy, from sculpture and photography, to 3D works, landscapes and acrylics, to name just a very few.

From visiting artists in their own homes and studios to showcases of work at local galleries, there is something to interest all ages.

Workshops include a free session making paper owls at Ilfracombe Library on Saturday from 10.30am-12.30pm, plus a plant sale and children’s vegetable and craft competition hosted by Ilfracombe in Bloom at Pip and Jim’s Hall on Saturday from 11am-3pm.

The trail is now in its third year and was officially launched on Thursday at Trinity Rooms, with artists past and present, organisers and friends gathering to view some of the works that will be on display.

There was also a special preview night at The Carlton Hotel on Wednesday.
