Some of the world's most treacherous peaks will be brought to North Devon as mountaineer Simon Yates presents Beyond the Void at the Queen's Theatre in Barnstaple on Friday November 28.Simon became known as "the man who cut the rope" holding fellow climber Joe Simpson during a disastrous climb on Peru's Siula Grande in 1985. The dramatic story and remarkable survival of the two men was immortalised in the Bafta Award winning 2003 film Touching the Void. He promises to take the audience on a roller coaster ride through his many adventures.
