The Toller Beatie Lunchtime Concert series continues with Tamsin Waley-Cohen at the Queen's Theatre, Barnstaple, on Wednesday, March 5. Born in London in 1986, violinist Tamsin has won many awards from the Royal College of Music where she studied, including String Player of the Year. This year sees her performing in London and Italy with the likes of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Chamber Orchestra, as well as appearing at classical music festivals. Virtuoso of the violin and teacher Ruggiero Ricci described Tamsin as, "the most exceptionally gifted young violinist I have ever encountered." The programme includes the dramatic and defiant Sonata No.7 in C minor by Beethoven, the vibrant and the elegant Waltz-Scherzo by Tchaikovsky.
