Thanks for the pet food

SIR - We would like to give a big “thank-you” to all those very kind people who donated such a mountain of dog and cat food for society’s discarded and homeless pets.

There were too many for us to mention here as well as all those who simply left piles of food in our porch and garage while we were out.

Thanks also to Yelland Post Office who were so generous and also to Duncan from The Westleigh Inn who loaned us transport and to his customers. The Dogs Trust and the Cats Protection League were well pleased with all our efforts.

Many thanks also to The Gazette - without whom this would not be possible. Three cheers also for all the paper girls and boys who braved the ice and snow delivering our local paper!
