Teams finish with a bang

With three wins in their final rounds, Bideford Rifle Club teams have finished with one championship and two third places in their divisions of the National Short Range Shooting League.

Bideford C have taken the Division 27 title with an unbeaten record of 10 wins out of 10 while the A team were third in Division 7 and the B team third in Division 19.

Ann Travis topped the A team averages with 97.6 out of a possible 100 while Adrian Pile led the B team with 96.4 and Lorne Hamilton the C team with 94.9.

Final round results: Bideford A 487, Bedford B 483; Bideford B 467, Altrincham B 384; Bideford C 472, Altrincham C 369.

The North Devon Scout Target Club 20-yard air pistol team took the NSRA National Divison 3 title, having won all of their 10 matches.

The team consisted of National Junior Squad members Libby Johnson and Ryan Hough, supported by leader Andy Bowman. This was the first year the club had entered the national league and they are looking to put in two teams in the new season.
