Such kindness

SIR - Unknowingly, I recently dropped my mobile phone in Victoria Park, Bideford, and it was picked up by a lady.

She kindly took it the Police Station and telephoned me, in my absence from home, to let me know what she had done.

I do not know her name, but I want to say a big thank-you to her for her action. I also wish to thank the policewoman who returned it to me that evening. It gives one a warm feeling when these small acts of kindness occur.
