REECE Stacey ran in four tries against former club South Molton as Barnstaple Colts handed out a 54-3 hiding in the North Devon derby.

Barnstaple started well with the forwards retaining possession and playing some of the best phases of play they have done all season.

Ben Ward got on the end of a bobbling ball and he was first to the ball to dot the ball over the line.

After this try it was the Stacey show with the centre running in four of the next five tries. The other South Molton old boy, Peter Keighley, scored the other.

Another good section of play resulted in the ball being moved wide and Matthew Phillips scored his first try.

Barnstaple saved the best try for last Ryan Legg, Ed Harrison and Calum Sumners were all involved in a pitch-length move that ended with Dalton Dumont running over from 50 metres out.

Stacey was Man of the Match with replacement Chris Beagley putting in a very good 25 minute stint to push his name forward in selection.

Ben Vellacott looked dangerous and composed in attack and added one conversion.
