St George sets the pace

THE St George local derby between Peers and Guys Gorillas topped a high scoring week in Ilfracombe Men’s Skittles League.

Colin Foreman floored a massive 91 for the Gorillas, but it was the Peers who came out on top 389-372, with Jason Twist and Ian Hale both contributing 75.

Another alley producing high scores was the Waverley, where Charlie Humphreys scored 80 and team mate Graham Clews 76 for Vilma’s Vanderboys, and Nigel Pugsley scored 75 for opponets Vickers.

The previous night on the same alley, Alan Rees scored 72 for Waverley Wanderers, but ended up losing to Over The Hele, for whom Paul Prentice scored 76.
