Square Picture Show returns to North Devon

Joseph Bulmer

THE North Devon Arts Square Picture show will be running for three months for the first time this year.

There will be a special opening event on Sunday, May 29 at Broomhill Art Hotel and Sculpture Gardens near Muddiford from 2.30pm.

Sculptor Tom Hyde will be working in the grounds and all are welcome to go along and meet the artists who have produced work for the show.

The theme for this year is “The Elements” and it has inspired paintings of the coastline, local weather and a few unusual interpretations.

The exhibition includes drawings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery and printmaking. It will be stewarded by a member of North Devon Arts who add extra information about the artists.

All work is priced under 199. When work is sold it will immediately be replaced, ensuring the exhibition stays fresh and worth more than one visit.

The Square Picture Show runs from June 1 to August 31 and is part of the North Devon Festival. Admission is free.
