Vipers’ victory slips away

Venners Vipers almost succeeded in creating the biggest upset in the top division of the North Devon Netball League.

They were leading title hopefuls Titans Apollo going into the last 15 minutes. But Apollo upped their game and this coupled with Vipers nerves enabled them to dominate the final quarter to win by seven.

At the other end of the table Pat Williams Girls lifted off the bottom after beating Titans Jupiter 32-16.

Division 2 All Whites found their form and Sharon Cloak’s accuracy ensured their victory over Panthers. South Molton Falcons and Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks were locked in battle throughout, before Falcons came through to win by two goals.

Carol Anne Amethysts broke their ‘duck’ beating Titans Venus 26-18, with great defending by Louisa Wilson.
