Bideford Reds and Bideford AAC flew to victory at Totnes regatta.

Rowers from Bideford travelled to Totnes this weekend for the annual West of England Championship Regatta.

The Bideford Reds junior men's squad secured top results for the club, following on from their performance at Falmouth Regatta last week.

The crew of Ross Bennett, Nick Dualibi Wilson, Alex Rowland and Matt Harris along with Keely Mills at the helm took top spot for the second week in succession at the Junior 18 category which has seen the four draw level with their great rivals from Plymouth - both crews now standing at the top of the table with 10 points.

And Bideford AAC brought home one win on Saturday thanks to Alex Dualibi-Wilson winning the junior 15 sculls race.

On Sunday, the men's masters' crew took first place, the women's junior 18 fours crew took third place in their race and Declan Monaghue took second in the men's novice scull race.

The women's senior A fours race also took home second place, despite two of the crew still being under 18.

Crews now have a short break until the hectic weekend on the August 8-9 when Paignton and Appledore and Instow host the next rounds of the 10 race championship series.
