BARNSTAPLE Colts suffered a 52-0 pasting at Ivybridge in their last Merit Table game of the season.
Availability issues were a handicap for Barum, who had some players in unfamiliar positions and borrowed from the U16s to fill others.
Barnstaple were down 20-0 down at half time but never stopped batting in the second half as the scoreline mounted.
There were some bright lights in the game with U16 lock Jake Meredith putting in a Man of the Match performance.
Peter Keighley tackled for more than one man, Ben Vellacott had a good game, Matthew Phillips had a good performance on the wing, Lee Casinelli ran well on several occasions and U16 fly-half Jordan Petheridge impressed the coaches with a gritty display for such a young player.
