TORRINGTON U16s lost 53-0 to Tavistock in a hard-played match.

It took just two minutes for Tavistock to kick-start the scoreboard and within 15 minutes the score stood at 17-0 to Tavvy.

Torrie came to life with their defensive line making it harder for Tavvy, who led 31-0 at the break.

The second half was fast and furious from the whistle, with Torrie finally showing some fight.

Runs by outside centre Ashley Goodhead and No.8 Nathan Eadie showed promise and some superb tackling by inside centre Shane Roach and second row Dan Hardy held Tavistock at bay.

Torrie got close to the line on several occasions, only to see possession taken away by the heavier Tavistock pack.

Torrie full-back Callum Burton was awarded Man of the Match and Goodhead Hammer of the Match.
