A skeleton squad headed to Plymouth for the Cattewater Gig Club Regatta.

Torridge Pilot Gig Club were in action in Plymouth on Saturday for the Cattewater Gig Club Regatta.

With a skeleton squad and a borrowed boat from the hosts, the club struggled to repeat recent results in some choppy conditions.

They were the only club from North Devon in action, competing in both C races, veterans’ races and the ladies’ B.

First up was the ladies’ B, with the team finishing eighth in Drake.

In the C races, the ladies finished in seventh, while the men got the club’s best result with a fifth place finish.

The veterans were next up, with the ladies finishing in sixth position, while the men rowed across the line in eighth.

Torridge are in action next week at the Clovelly Regatta, which takes place on Saturday.
