BARNSTAPLE Swimming Club captain Tony Rutter went all the way to Perth in Western Australia to become the club's first participant in the FINA World Masters Championships - and came home with three world medals. Tony competed in the 19-24 years age group and won 3 world medals for three top ten finishes. He was seventh in the 800m freestyle, eighth in the 400m individual medley and 9th in the 200m breaststroke. In his two other events, the 200m individual medley and 400m freestyle, Tony finished in respectable 14th and 15th places.
