The budding world boxing champion gets ready for December fight with a brand new sponsor behind him.

A budding world boxing champion has had a boost ahead of his next big fight with a brand new sponsor.

Bideford-born Tommy Langford, 26, has notched up 14 straight wins without losing a single round since turning professional in 2012.

He is currently fifth in the world rankings and on December 19 will take on his next - and as yet unnamed - opponent in Manchester Arena.

His new sponsor, J S Wright, which marked its 125th anniversary by becoming Langford's official sponsor, is backing him for the big fight.

Marcus Aniol, managing director of J S Wright, said: "We are proud and delighted to be able to sponsor such a rising local star in his quest to become a world champion.

"Just as our business has taken off in a spectacular way over the past five years, so too has Tommy's career, and the qualities of skill, judgment and commitment that he shows in the ring are what our people demonstrate on site every day."

The former England international and amateur champion, now based in Birmingham, recently defended his WBO Inter-Continental title successfully against Argentine champion Christian Fabian Rios.
