Titans travelled to Bournemouth-based Aquarians in their latest fixture and knew they were in for a tough game against the defending league champions.

Titans had a wake-up call in the first quarter and could not find any consistency and found themselves 16-4 down at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Titans started to link better and were able to win the next quarter thanks to the tireless work of Michelle Sampson at goal defence. At half-time the score was 25-14 to Aquarians.

Christina Brend applied pressure and made several turnovers at wing defence as Titans drew the third quarter to leave the score at 33-22.

In the final quarter, Titans did not give up and continued to disrupt Aquarians’ play, but they couldn’t make up for their slow start as they went down 42-28.

Player of the match went to Lorraine Cleverdon for Aquarians and Christina Brend for Titans.

Titans’ next fixture is on November 29, away to Exeter.
