Nine students from the North Devon College Supported Learning Section completed the Ten Tors Jubilee Challenge on Dartmoor at the weekend.David Grant, Andrew Mortimer and John Kinnear finished the 13.2km cross-country route.Kimberly Charles and Joshua Covill completed the 16km march at and Ben Boden, Ashley Thomas, Keith Joce and James Heal crossed the 24-km finish line.In blazing sunshine George Smalley, James Robinson, Lindsey Denyer, Amy Hardwick, Katherine Pugsley and Cherry Bedford completed the 35-mile Ten Tors route for West Buckland School.There were also no drop-outs in the West Buckland 45-mile team. Anna Duckett, Amelie Karlsson, Harry Aitchison, Richard Moore, Ben Bennett and Matt Login all crossed the finish line safely.Trainer Lee Woodward said: "Both teams did really well and finished with no drop-outs. The hot weather made walking really hard but spirits were high. I am very proud of both teams for their great effort."Looking a little worse for wear, Frances Belcher, Danielle Crocker, Tom Harness, Rowan Frost, Matthew Wallin and Zak Field collected medals for the Park School, Barnstaple, 35-mile team after completing the course successfully.Park School's Jack Sharpe was unlucky not to finish the 45-mile route after twisting his ankle on the first day but his team mates Gavin Belcher, Alex Wade, Emily Fleming, Joe Wall and Andrew Eve completed the course.
