Property consultants Alder King held their eighth annual Surf Challenge at Woolacombe Beach. More than 70 people in the commercial property industry from across the UK attended the event and took part in the surf competition and volleyball tournament.

Property consultants Alder King held their eighth annual Surf Challenge at Woolacombe Beach. More than 70 people in the commercial property industry from across the UK attended the event and took part in the surf competition and volleyball tournament. Carey O'Dowd from Strategic Real Estate Advisors won the surf competition after wowing the judges with an impressive performance in the small, but contestable waves, which included doing a handstand on his board. Angharad Jones of DTZ in Bristol won the ladies category and the "A Team" from King Sturge won the volleyball for the second year running.The challenge raised £200 for Woolacombe branch of the RNLI, who provided a lifeguard for the event.Dominic Rosenbaum from Alder King organised the event. He said: "We had amazing weather for this year's Surf Challenge. It continues to attract participants from across the UK and it is the only event of its kind in the property calendar. Special thanks go to the RNLI and Parkin Estates, for allowing Alder King to use the beach and providing us with a lifeguard for the event."The Surf Challenge was sponsored by trade magazine Property Week, the South West division of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Signboard, Hollister Design, wetsuitfinder.com, Loose Fit surf shop, ARUP and John Smale & Co Surveyors.
