BARNSTAPLE Colts ran up a 20-0 first-half lead at Taunton and went on to defeat the Somerset side 32-20.Barnstaple had a few members of the back division missing, but the pack was near full strength.In a compulsive first half, Barnstaple took control with the pack supplying quality ball to the backs.Barnstaple scored four tries before the interval: two from wing Ciaron Lishman and one each by centre Lee Ryan and full-back Tim Chipchase.Taunton could only manage a penalty in reply.Barnstaple made a few changes in the second half to allow the full squad the chance to play.Taunton come back into the game, but Barnstaple maintained their dominance, with Lishman completing a well-deserved hat-trick and Ryan adding his second.
