Daniel Weston and Fiona Lane both represented Great Britain at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Dubai in March.

Weston competed in the cycling, winning gold and silver medals, while Lane took two fourth-place medals in tennis.

The two showed off their medals at the special event at the Park Hotel in Barnstaple. As well as friends, family and Special Olympics North Devon members, Mayor of Barnstaple Ian Roome was in attendance, as was Special Olympics Great Britain founder Chris Maloney and representatives of organisations and charities who support Special Olympics North Devon.

The group meets at Tarka Tennis Centre every Saturday and welcomes new members with learning disabilities.
