South Molton drew 12-all with visiting Liskeard-Looe in their first game back in the Cornwall and Devon Division.

Molton returned to the two-counties division at the end of last season after three years in Devon One.

Liskeard-Looe shot into a 12-0 lead before the break and South Molton had to claw their way back.

Reece Eury and George Whiting scored a try each for the Men in Black and Callum Stone kicked a conversion.

Stone hit the woodwork with a second-half penalty that could have won it for Molton, who make the long trip to Penryn this Saturday.

Torrington open their campaign in Devon One this Saturday at home to Exeter Athletic, the new name for the combined Wessex and Exeter Youth clubs.

Ilfracombe are away to Bideford Quins this Saturday in their opening Devon Merit Table game.

South Molton II host Tiverton III in the same competition. Torrington II welcome Honiton II to Donnacroft.
