Teams from the police, fire and RNLI faced off to raise money for the lifeboat service.

North Devon’s police, fire and RNLI services came together on Sunday for an inter-service cricket Tournament.

The three agencies, who usually work together for public safety, were raising money for the RNLI in a round-robin tournament at Bideford’s pitch at Westward Ho!

Three even and competitive matches took place, with honours shared at the end after each team recorded a win.

The well-attended event raised nearly £300 for the RNLI.

The occasion was preceded by a minutes silence to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the September 11 attacks in New York.
