NORTH Devon 2nd XI are off the mark and off the bottom of the Premier Division 2nd XI competition after defeating Plymouth by eight wickets.Plymouth were all out for a respectable 224, although they would have fancied making a few more having been 129 for two at the end of a stand of 81 between Keith Barlow (42) and Bobby Luscombe.Luscombe went on to top score for Plymouth with 65.Tom Rogers (4-48) led the North Devon bowling effort, aided and abetted by Tom Cook (3-55) and Jamie Overton (2-31).Knocking off the runs was made easy for North Devon as opener Richard Screech clattered an unbeaten 112.Bob Heaman went cheaply, but Screech and Richard Kelly (51) got the tally up to108 for two. When Kelly went, Mark Overton (32no) joined Screech to put on 118 without mishap.
