Barnstaple controlled the game from the start and Alex Priest opened the scoring. Linford Brock, Jack Wiggins and James Reeves also crossed in the first half. Barnstaple's persistent pressure allowed Wiggins, Mike Clements and Shaun East to score tries. Pat Sanders converted every time. Barnstaple U13s won 27-21 at Bude. Justin Southam ran threequarters of the pitch, outpacing the Bude defence, to score under the posts.Three more unanswered tries by Barnstaple before half time should have wrapped up the game.Bude didn't let their heads drop and came back strongly in the second half, scoring two tries to add to one in the first half.Ben Vellacott scored in the corner for Barnstaple, to keep them ahead.
