Once your grip and stance are correct the golf swing basics are simple.

Start the backswing taking the club away by turning the shoulders. Hinge the wrists at the top so your left thumb is underneath the grip supporting the club. As you hit the ball, transfer your weight to the left foot and gently accelerate the club through to the finish.

Follow these simple steps and you won't go too far wrong.
