Kidderminster pro takes plaudits at rounds four and five of the Schwalbe British 4X Series.

KIDDERMINSTER pro-mountain bike racer Scott ‘Boom Boom’ Beaumont took the top honours in rounds five and six of the Schwalbe British 4X Series at Abbotsham’s South West Extreme.

Beaumont bagged the elite men’s titles in both rounds during a glorious weekend of racing in the North Devon leg of the national series.

In the elite women’s race Suzanne Lacey held off pressure from Charlotte Green and Cara Murray to take round five on Saturday, but illness prevented her going for the double on Sunday.

In her absence, Murray bettered a second-placed finish the day before to claim her first ever 4X national win ahead of the European championships in Poland next week.
