North Devon Road Runners’ race has record 371 entries.
It was a record turnout to the Braunton 10 Miler on Sunday, with 371 stepping up to race.
Bideford Amateur Athletic Club’s Mark Jenkin took the top spot, finishing in 53 minutes, 10 seconds.
Jack Hutching, of North Devon Athletic Club came second with 58 minutes, 35 seconds; and Steve Abell of the South Molton Strugglers came third with 59 minutes, 35 seconds, making him the fastest male over 40.
The first female past the line was Alison McEwing, of Erme Valley Harriers, who finished in one hour, six minutes and 40 seconds.
Mary Menon came second in the ladies with one hour, seven minutes, 13 seconds and Rosemary Terribile came third with one hour, 11 minutes and 16 seconds.
The race was organised by North Devon Road Runners, and was held on the Braunton Atheltics Track.
Conditions on the day were described as a ‘perfect’ 10’C with light winds, with competitors travelling from across the South West to compete.
