Bideford Amateur Boxing Club’s event at Bideford College boasted a packed match card, with 30 fighters taking part.
Bideford Amateur Boxing Club had plenty of fighters in action at their home show on Saturday.
The event, which took place at Bideford College, featured 15 fights in total, with 13 fighters from the club on the card.
Billy Stanbury was top of the bill but the heavyweight was unable to end the show with a win.
Stanbury was able to knock down his opponent, Max Earle of Mayflower, but could not capitalise in the later rounds as he lost by split decision.
Gabriel Silva put in an explosive performance in his light heavyweight bout against St Austell’s Shane Skilton.
Silva went out fast and didn’t relent, knocking his opponent down twice before sealing the win in the first round via technical knockout.
Unfortunately Ben Owen’s final home bout wasn’t a fairytale ending, losing on a split decision.
Pete McDonald, Matt Wade, Josh and Andy Short and Lewis Mackenzie all picked up wins for the amateur club.
